who makes this?

Hi, I’m Jamie Gower.

Image of a bearded man with grey hair, grey beard, and glasses. He is wearing orange shoes, orange trousers, a blue shirt, and a black tuxedo jacket while waiting at a street corner in Edinburgh Scotland, carrying a shoulder bag.
Me, escorting Mr. Danny O’Hare (in bag) to an appearance at the Edinburgh Fringe.

I’m basically a one-man production company, making videos, podcasts, and occasionally appearing in my capacity as Executive Assistant to the Fifth-Most Popular Lounge-Singing Puppet in the Pacific Northwestº, Mr. Danny O’Hare.

Some day, I will finally decide what I want to be when I grow up*. But for now, I'm having too much fun making things.

Bio

I started performing standup comedy in high school, and performed and wrote musical comedy in college (and toured as a baritone in a classical chamber choir, go figure).

Then I pivoted into a successful career leading teams making courseware and instructional products for Microsoft.

Then I combined it all, using my comedy experience and my program manager skills to create new and novel experiences for corporate clients: webcomics, talk shows, Shakespeare staged in a video game. You know, that kind of corporate stuff.

Meanwhile, in my “spare time,” I developed a way to use PowerPoint and Apple Keynote as animation studios, producing the award-winning webseries [1] New Message, “voicemail to you from a more interesting now.” I went on to make videos that have been official selections over 20 film festivals in the USA, Europe, and Australia.

And of course, there was that time I wrote and produced a show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, featuring a lounge-singing puppet who was not happy that I was constantly following him around stage.
