Special bulletin

A little extra note this week to talk about the new format, and to ask a wee favor.

There’ve been some changes made

You might have noticed things look different around here. Slimmer. I used to send you, biweekly:

  • An intro mini-essay
  • News from other projects I was working on
  • A 1,200(ish)-word essay
  • 5 links
  • A sign-off mini-essay

That was a lot, for me to write and you to read. Now I’m sending weekly:

  • A 100-200 word essay (“Batbond” was an anomaly)
  • 2 links
  • A reminder to breathe

Shorter, more focused, better cadence, and a lot of fun for me to curate and write. And I hope this new format is an entertaining little weekly diversion in your inbox.

And now the favor

I’ve asked you before, and many you have already (thank you!), but I wanted to ask again:

Could you please forward and recommend this newsletter to anyone you think would enjoy it?

Just hit the old CTRL-F / ⌘-F on some past issue that you enjoyed. Or you can copy and send this link:

One weird thought, two fun links, & a reminder to breathe

Amaze your friends! Confound your enemies! As you saw in the photo above, (snapped this very day at (required field) Productions headquarters) we have a highly trained team ready and waiting to put them on the list.

Please help keep the (rf)T subscription squad occupied. I will think you’re just the bee’s knees for doing so. And I already think you’re the cat’s pajamas, so you will then possess a a veritable pile of complimentary vintage slang. Thanks!

Until we talk again (this Thursday!), I remain,

Your pal,

Jamie
